What reviewers say

Reviewers with thick and coily hair are the fans: one with type 4 coils says nothing leaves her hair as soft, and another likes that it is a thick lotion, diluting it with water to make a bottle last much longer. The criticisms are about texture and value. One reviewer felt misled that something called a milk is so thick, another with fine but plentiful hair couldn’t use it undiluted and wishes it were called a curl balm, and a third says it dries her hair out if she uses too much. One finds it nice but would get better results from comparably priced products. The vanilla scent is enjoyed by most and hated by a couple.

Love camille rose! Especially the algae mask, the moisture milk and the curl cream that smells like honeycomb

Nothing leaves my hair as soft; the only downside is it goes quickly.

i love the moisture milk almost nothing leaves my hair as soft sadly i it goes quickly, the pear conditioner is also one of the only conditioner ms that detangle and absorb nicely in my hair, and last i love the ginger cleansing shampoo it’s great for in between washes you just squeeze it throughout your roots and rinse it and it feels so clean and refreshing without stripping definitely recommend as type 4 coils

Great and smells really good; I haven't tried the others because they're pricey where I live.

Smells like a grocery-store vanilla cupcake, but I still love it, especially the leave-in.

It smells like a grocery store vanilla cupcake but I kind of love it still lol. Especially the leave in

I like that it's a thick lotion; I dilute it to a milky consistency, so a bottle lasts much longer.

I kinda like that it’s a thicker lotion versus milk consistency. I dilute it to a milky consistency and a bottle lasts so much longer.

The Curl Maker gel flakes on my hair, unfortunately. But the ginger shampoo, the moisture milk, and the twisting butter are nice.

Nice and smells great, but I get better results from comparably priced products; I'd choose Olaplex 5 to splurge.

They have very good consistent products. Fav is the underrated Jansyn deep conditioner, I like it better than Algae renew. The smells are great and most products perform as advertised. My biggest issue is I have basically found replacements I prefer for each one of their products. Curl maker is great but its hold isn’t the best and I replaced it with Uncle Funky’s Daughter which gives me a better hold with similar shine and definition. Their ginger hair rinse was nice but I’ve had ones that do a better job cleaning. Moisture milk is a nice leave in that smells great but I get better results with comparably priced products and if I’m splurging I’d rather go with Olaplex 5. The algae renew just wasn’t giving my hair the moisture it needed but it was a great experience. I have yet to replace the Jansyn deep conditioner though, that stuff is magic. Overall a solid brand they’re just too expensive for what you get.

Idk why but it dries my hair out? The moisture milk works though but if I use it too much it dries my hair out

I diluted it too, because it was unusable undiluted on my fine-but-plentiful hair; I wish it were called a curl balm.

I did that too because it was unusable on my fine-but-a-lot-of-it hair. But I with they called it curl balm or something...

  10. NegativeReddit comment

I felt duped buying it online: far too thick to be a milk, and I hated the smell.

Love the gel. Bought the curl milk online and felt duped at how thick it is. Not a milk at all. Also hated the smell, but it must be my nose, it translated as puke... Am using the ginger rinse which is a chelating shampoo. I like using it, thick texture, doesn’t dry out, but my water is too hard so I need something stronger.
